More about Josh
I joined Blast…
Because they offered me the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the most talented people in our industry.
A cool part of my job is…
As a remote employee in the UK, I’m encouraged to make a difference in my community by supporting local charities and volunteering. I’ve been able to use my skills to help a local homelessness charity increase subscriptions to their newsletter.
My consulting “philosophy” is…
To listen, anticipate, and lead. The most important thing consultants can do is to listen to our clients and peers. This enables us to stay one step ahead and anticipate their needs. Also, leadership in best practices and innovative solutions ensures continued evolution for everyone.
It’s not on my resume, but…
I’ve gone back to school and pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Data Science. Having previously failed to complete a degree after leaving school, I can now achieve this lifelong goal with Blast’s support.
One of my first jobs was…
As a kid, I was overweight and, as such, bullied at school. So, I started going to the gym and lifting weights. I went on to study fitness and nutrition and qualified as a Personal Trainer. Throughout high school, I worked weekends at a YMCA fitness center where I helped others in my community overcome their own challenges with physical health, addiction, and mental illness.
The most interesting place I’ve traveled is…
As a child, I was part of the cathedral choir and school orchestra. I’ve had the opportunity to perform in many churches and cathedrals in the UK and abroad. The most interesting for me was Notre Dame in Paris.
My hobbies include…
I like to keep fit through a combination of yoga and running.
I like to be kind to the environment by eating vegan, reducing plastic consumption, and lowering my carbon footprint in any way I can.
I like to watch sports including Formula One, boxing and ice hockey.
A favorite quote of mine is…
“Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying. It has yet to be proven that intelligence has any survival value.” — Arthur C. Clarke
