Kayden Kelly – Founder and CEO
Founder and CEO - AKA Mr. Loves a Challenge
As Founder and CEO of Blast Analytics & Marketing, Kayden leads overall strategy and execution in positioning Blast as a leading analytics and digital marketing consulting company. In addition to achieving the company vision — Supporting Leaders to EVOLVE their Organizations — Kayden is committed to growing a company where people enjoy coming to work, are supported by their co-workers, are intellectually challenged, and can MAKE THEIR MARK helping clients meet their business goals.
Guided by the team’s core values, Kayden works relentlessly to establish a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, honesty, fun, and ultimate success — for clients, employees, and the company. His passion and leadership has resulted in Blast’s continuous evolution and growth since the company launched in 1999.
An industry trailblazer who stays ahead of trends and opportunities, Kayden is a continuous learner who optimizes everything he can. He solicits and leverages input from his team, learns from client engagements, and applies his boundless energy to keep Blast and its clients moving forward — following his proven, repeatable methodology of Strategy, Implementation, Optimization, and Training.
Kayden has spent nearly two decades building his industry expertise in all areas, with a deep focus on analytics, search engine optimization, and user experience. He is an evangelist for “the customer,” helping clients create sustainable competitive advantage by developing, optimizing, distributing, and connecting valuable content to customer needs. He also pioneered the simple concept at Blast to help clients RANK, CLICK, and CONVERT.
Building on Blast’s analytics and digital marketing success, Kayden is committed to expanding the company’s business analytics consulting services to create even greater opportunities with enterprise clients — helping to answer more of their business questions and take meaningful action.
After earning a BA in Strategic Management and Marketing from California State University, Sacramento, Kayden began his career as a marketing intern for Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). Soon thereafter, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey and launched Blast, which to this day counts SMUD among its many long-standing clients.
Kayden, who holds many certifications, remains extremely active in the industry, sharing his vision and perspectives at various conferences and workshops. He is community-focused, spending significant time giving back to several worthy organizations and causes, which has become inherent to the Blast culture.
When he’s not online or thinking of another way to help Blast and its clients EVOLVE, Kayden enjoys biking, hiking, coaching his kids in youth sports, and driving really, really fast (on a racetrack, of course).
A cool part of my job is the constant and ever-changing challenge to EVOLVE Blast and support others to make their mark.
More about Kayden
I started Blast…
To build a fun, stimulating, and rewarding place to work that is focused on making clients happy and driving measurable results.
A cool part of my job is…
The constant and ever-changing challenge to EVOLVE Blast and support others to make their mark.
My consulting “philosophy” is…
Focus on adding value in the short-term while working toward building sustainable market leadership in the long-term.
It’s not on my resume, but…
While in college, I was the shipping manager at Sage Software, and I also worked in an orthodontist office to see if I wanted to be a dentist.
One of my first jobs was…
Cart boy at a golf course. However, it’s hard to single out one of my many early jobs, as I did everything from lawn mowing, delivering newspapers, dishwashing, landscaping, bussing tables, and was even a sous-chef (second-in-command and direct assistant to the chef).
The most interesting place I’ve traveled is…
Paris. Unbelievable amount of art and culture.
My hobbies include…
Track driving, road cycling, mountain biking, and ultra-running. Still working on crossing off a 100-mile run off my bucket list. Already completed a 300-mile road bike ride within 24 hours.
A favorite quote of mine is…
“Nothing of value comes without being earned.” — Michael Jordan
