Meet Allison Marx
Associate Manager, Implementation
As an Associate Manager, Implementation at Blast Analytics, Allison enjoys solving problems and implementing her solutions on all major tag management platforms. Allison’s talent lies in her abilities to identify the root causes of complex issues and provide elegant solutions to clients and teammates. (You might even catch a joke here or there on a call or email, because no one ever said implementation team members have to take themselves too seriously.)
Allison has more than a decade of experience working across disciplines, including analytics, development, design, communications, marketing, and project management. Prior to joining Blast, she worked at Disney, UPS, and VMLY&R. One of her favorite roles was an international work assignment in Brussels, Belgium. Allison prides herself in linking data to insights and helping to translate between marketers and coders to drive action and results. She also holds certifications in Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, which allows her to utilize her experience as an analyst to make informed implementation decisions.
Allison has a BS in Computational Media from Georgia Institute of Technology, which is an interdisciplinary program combining Computer Science and Liberal Arts. She has been playing oboe with community bands since she was in middle school and currently plays principal oboe for the Atlanta Wind Symphony. She also devotes some of her free time to helping people in the Type 1 Diabetes online community to use technology to improve their blood sugar control. Her absolute favorite thing to do, though, is being Mommy to her son, Wesley, and playing board games with her husband and her friends.
More about Allison
I joined Blast…
To grow my career and skillset, and work for a smaller company where my efforts and ideas can have a bigger impact.
A cool part of my job is…
Arriving at a solution to something that has been very challenging to solve. There is nothing more satisfying than that.
My consulting “philosophy” is…
Do your best to anticipate needs — take your solution at least one step further where possible. Don’t just provide an adequate solution, provide the best one.
It’s not on my resume, but…
I was on a Hallmark Card when I was a baby.
One of my first jobs was…
Making pizza and “grinders” (oven-baked sandwiches) at Bellacino’s.
The most interesting place I’ve traveled is…
This is a tough one. I will go with Barcelona, Spain. The Sagrada Familia is, hands down, the best church I saw while I lived in Europe. The architecture, food, and music there is tough to beat.
My hobbies include…
In quarantine, building in The Sims and driving through Starbucks. Outside of quarantine, my husband and I take ballroom dance lessons.
A favorite quote of mine is…
“I want to live my life so that I’ll be able to read an in-depth biography about myself in later years and not puke” – Paris Geller, Gilmore Girls
